Spring is in the air and that means the flowers are blooming and the birds are chirping louder than ever (at least where I live!)
To get the spring season started, I thought I'd share a photo of a rose taken by Rosa Say. Rosa came across this gorgeous flower while visiting the Foster Botanical Garden on O‘ahu, .
You have to visit Rosa's Flickr photostream as she has taken so many photos from her home state of Hawaii. Vibrant!

Thank you so much for this honor Maria!
As I write this it is a very rainy morning here in Hawai‘i, but one of those where the rain is gentle, refreshing, and badly needed; very easy to imagine the earth drinking it in eagerly with the promise of spring blooms in all their sunnier glory.
In fact, the rain is warm enough, and light enough, that I will venture out with my camera again very soon!
My aloha to you and all your readers.
Hi Rosa,
Thank you for the inspiration!
We've had a few rainy days here in San Diego, but we needed it as well. Nature really loves it and the grass is so much greener.
