Redefining My Purpose

So you've probably noticed that I haven't been blogging much here lately. I've been "lost" - for lack of a better word. I've actually been busy blogging over at Beauty Is Within and The Unofficial Audi Blog, but that's all I've had much time for. This weekend, however, I spent some time writing a couple posts over at The Good Life.

I know that I want to stop blogging and writing for other people. I've enjoyed it as a business for the past seven years, but now I'm think I'm just ready to take the Studio 747 blog network to the next level. I have a vision for my blogs and how I want to make a contribution to this world through them, and I think it's that time.

More Soul Searching

You could say that I've been doing a little soul searching. I thought I wanted to relaunch my jewelry business, which is what I was doing before I started blogging. However, I haven't been inspired much to make jewelry. I always seem to come back to writing and thinking of ways to help people through my words. I'll watch a movie, see a picture, or have a conversation with someone that inspires me to want to share the lessons I've learned through my everyday experiences.

Perhaps this is my "mid-life crisis" that I'm going through. But instead of going out and buying a fancy car or partying like it's 1999, I've been asking myself some tough questions about my life and what my purpose is. I know that I'm here to help people. I know that much.

Do you know what your purpose in life is? Have you ever had to redefine what that purpose is?

Save the World?

Part of me wants to "save the world". I want to uplift people and help them realize how special they are. It pains me to see people who are sad and suffering because I know that they have the power within them to make a change. We all have the power to make changes. We don't have to rely on government or something outside of us.

Saving the world is such a lofty goal, but all of us can do it. Do one good thing a day and focus on your work with love and passion. Can you imagine a world where everyone just absolutely loved their work? There is no "crushing the competition" or "living for the weekend"...Everyone living in the moment. Maybe I should just stop here before I bust out with "We are the World" on you!

These are exciting times...

There are so many things going on in the world today, but I definitely see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Maybe I could use this blog network to spread good vibes and share positive information and news. This is something I've actually wanted to do all along.

I don't know exactly where I'm going with this blog post, but I thank you for reading. Getting all this out has given me some clarity on the direction I want to take this blog network. I don't know if I've actually redefined my purpose, but I know that I have a renewed focus.
