If you have been holding off on exploring the unique, state-of-the-art look of fine art printing on aluminum or clear, archival Plexiglas®, your wait may be over! During the month of November 2014, AmericanFrame.com is offering a 25 percent discount on all sizes of these custom print projects, so it is the perfect time to give them a try.

Aluminum and Plexiglas printing is especially appealing for large statement pieces hung in spaces filled with light, but the clean, crisp lines of these durable and lightweight ready-to-hang frameless images are attractive almost anywhere.

Our Plexiglas prints are made directly onto the archival quality and 100% UV-protected Plexiglas using proprietary European inks. The luminous colors really pop against their white matte archival backing paper, making them a beautiful choice for reproducing textured acrylic paintings, bright watercolors and for a broad change of photo subjects from black and white to color botanical and floral close ups to landscapes and even portraits. The hanging mechanism on these prints is made of white wood, floats the images 1 ¼ inches from the wall and is entirely hidden for a clean, polished look.

Printing on aluminum lends itself to an Industrial Chic d├ęcor look seen in many homes and galleries, but is surprisingly appealing for many hanging locations. The strong and lightweight 2 mm aluminum is pretreated with a white powder coating before applying your image to the surface for true, even color reproduction perfect for image type or style. European proprietary inks with a minimum 100 year archival rating are used and the matte finish is perfect for locations where you want to minimize glare. Like our Plexiglas printed pieces, the hanger for our aluminum prints is entirely hidden from view and allows the images to float 1 ¼ inches from the wall.

Prints on both aluminum and Plexiglas can be manufactured in sizes up to 4′ by 8′, depending on the size of the original digital file. Three to four weeks are required for normal delivery, as these are the only items that are outsourced by American Frame to a specialty European facility and shipped to you directly from our factory. Visit our printing on Plexiglas and aluminum FAQ for more information on ordering these special pieces.
