At the beginning of the year many people make their New Year resolutions. Although I usually come up with a couple goals or intentions each year, this year I just decided to ditch the resolutions and create the ultimate bucket list for the rest of my life. I’ve had this bucket list in my mind for quite some time. I figured that blogging about it would jump start the energy for these things to happen and perhaps inspire some of you to write your own bucket list or even do some of the stuff on my list.
Learn to play golfThis is laughable because I’ve been telling myself forever that I want to learn. Can you believe that I’ve had a set of golf clubs for the past two years sitting in my storage that I haven’t used yet?!? There are so many beautiful golf courses here in San Diego and I STILL haven’t been out even to just hit a few balls. I was taking a look at these golf holidays in Portugal and started thinking I want to be that person who says, ‘I never thought I’d ever be playing golf in Portugal, but here I am.’
Finish writing “53 Days of Joy”I started this book a few years ago, but got caught up in a few other projects, so it was put on the back burner. I feel that part of my purpose in this lifetime is to help people discover more joy and meaning in their lives. Given the current state of the world, I’m feeling more compelled to finally finish this book and get it out to the people who really need it.
Visit EgyptI’ve been planning this trip in my mind for quite some time now. This is a country with such a fascinating history. I look forward to sailing down the Nile on a cruise and seeing the historical pyramids up close and personal.
Take a cross-country road tripEver since I was a little girl I’ve had this dream of driving an RV and visiting every state in the U.S. - except for Hawaii, of course. I really, really want to see the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park, Boston, and New York City. Call me crazy, but I think it would be nice to experience a blizzardy east coast winter.
Drive a car on the German autobahnThe rebel in me once went up to 120 mph for about 5 seconds during a trip to Las Vegas, and it was fantastic. I’d love to take a Bugati on the autobahn and feel that adrenaline rush again.
These are just five things that are part of the Top 10 on my bucket list. What’s on your list?
