Personality Types of Successful Entrepreneurs: Which One Are You?

Personality types of entrepreneurs

Have you ever wondered what type of entrepreneur you are? According to Chris Kuenne and John Danner, authors of the book, "Built For Growth", there are four personality types of successful entrepreneurs. In their interview with Lewis Howes of School of Greatness (My favorite YouTube channel dedicated to business inspiration) they go into depth about the four types.

The interview is just over an hour long, so get comfortable and enjoy...

If you can't watch the full interview, here's a quick overview of each personality type:

The Driver

Drivers are relentless, commercially focused, and highly confident. They were essentially born to become an entrepreneur. It's hard-wired into their DNA.

The Explorer

Explorers are curious, problem seekers, and solvers. Their focus is on the product and process.

The Crusader

Crusaders are mission inspired and have a desire to make the world a better place. (That's me!)

The Captain

Captains are team builders who are direct and pragmatic. They want to create a company culture around values and accountability.

Over at the Built For Growth website you can take a quiz to see which one of these personality types you are. I took it and apparently I am a Crusader, which is spot on.

Although I am considered a Crusader, I feel that I possess some characteristics of the other personality types. Curious, pragmatic, relentless, and confident could also be used to describe who I am as an entrepreneur. I started this blog 10 years ago because I was curious about digital media and the ability to express myself through this medium. I loved to write and felt confident in my writing. I am relentless in inspiring others to do what they love and to go after their dreams. At the same time I am relentless in the pursuit of my own dreams, which is to travel the world and learn more about this home we call Earth.
